Edward J. Marcinik, Ph.D. founded First Defense Consulting, Inc in 2002 and has served as President and CEO since that time. He is a former Navy Medical Service Corps officer (Research Physiologist) with over 30 years of Department of Defense Science and Technology experience.

During his 20 year Naval career, Dr Marcinik managed casualty care, chemical/biological defense, telemedicine, warfighter performance and defense health programs at the Naval Health Research Center, Naval Medical Research Institute, Office of Naval Research and OSD (Health Affairs).

Dr Marcinik created First Defense Consulting, Inc to help Industry develop business relationships with the Defense Medical R&D community and facilitate the transition of emerging technologies into the U.S. military.
