Medical Rescue Equipment (MRE) Holding is a Norwegian-based biotechnology company that develops, manufactures and markets infusion equipment.
First Defense Consulting, Inc helped MRE through the proposal approval and peer-review process and secured a contract with the US Army.
This research will involve performing necessary test and evaluation on the infusion equipment to support FDA submittal for 510k approval. Additionally MRE will manufacture and ship 12 infusion systems to the Army for field evaluation.
First Defense Consulting, Inc will work closely with scientists from the US Army Medical Materiel Agency, Fort Detrick, MD and contract officers from US Army Medical Research Acquisition Agency, Fort Detrick, MD to provide program and contract management support for this project.
Hospital of the Future Program
The Hospital of the Future Program serves as a national test bed to demonstrate and evaluate innovative technologies to develop the next standard in hospital care. A major priority within this venture is establishing interoperability regarding electronic health records between the Department of Defense and civilian agencies, including civilian hospital and first responders.

First Defense Consulting, Inc helped Oncbiomune, Inc create a detailed technical and cost proposal and secure a US Navy contract.
This research will involve clinical trial material production of a genetically engineered recombinant Prostate Specific Antigen for use in Phase I human clinical trials. Additionally, Oncbiomune, Inc will conduct formulation, stability, and toxicology studies to support submission of an IND.

Regional Center of Excellence for PTSD: Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital (PPMH) is a 450 bed regional medical facility located in Albany, GA with comprehensive outpatient services that include behavioral health, physical medicine, urgent care, family medicine and several primary care clinics located throughout southwest Georgia.

The overarching goal of this project is to bring telepsychiatric services to military personnel who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, show early signs of PTSD, and now reside in geographically isolated communities. First Defense Consulting, Inc helped Inovio develop a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with the US Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Disease, Fort Detrick, MD and secure four US Army contracts.
The goal of this research project is to validate the dermally targeted Elgen 1000 gene delivery system designed for use in studies involving animal disease models. This validation process will enable the U.S. Army to fully exploit this technology for a variety of vaccines.
